SSC CGL – Know about the Exam and the Exam pattern

SSC CGL is one of the biggest examinations to be conducted for graduate students in India. SSC conducts this exam every year to recruit staff for various vacant posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in its Subordinate Offices. It’s 2019-20 Notification has been released by the authorities on 22nd October 2019. SSC CGL 2019 is a great opportunity for students looking forward to a position in the reputed organizations under the central government. Candidates should check the exam pattern to get familiar with the exam.

SSC CGL 2020 Exam Pattern of Tier 1

Tier 1 exam will be an objective type of exam that will be held online. It will have 4 sections containing 100 questions. Each question will be 2 marks which are about a total of 200 marks.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 2 

Tier 2 exam will be an objective type of exam which will be held online.  Each question will be of 2 marks which are about a total of 200 marks.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 3

This will be a descriptive type of exam which is available in both English and Hindi. It is conducted in offline mode. The candidates have to write an essay/ letter/ application etc.

  • It is a qualifying exam and the duration is of 60 minutes.
  • The duration is of 80 minutes for physically disabled people.

Tier 4 only has a Data entry speed test and CPT (Computer proficiency test).
