SSC conducts CGL (Combined Graduate Level) examination to select eligible candidates for numerous posts in ministries, departments, and organizations of government of India. It is conducted for filling up Group “B” and Group “C” posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. The examination will be held in 3 stages and every year many candidates take part in the examination. The Tier 1 exam of SSC CGL 2019-20 is scheduled from 2nd to 11th March 2020 and the Tier-II & Tier-III Examination is scheduled from 22nd June to 25th June 2020. The final selection would be depending on the confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres before declaration of result. SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2020
The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) consists of four tiers, where each tier needs to be cleared depending upon the requirement of different posts. SSC CGL 2019-20 Exam will be held in four tiers, i.e., Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4.
In the past few years, SSC has made some changes in the pattern of the exam. Candidates must make note of changes in the SSC CGL exam pattern and syllabus before beginning the SSC CGL exam preparation. Below are some important points to be noted:
Tier 1– objective type exam will be of 60 minutes duration in online mode.
Tier 2– objective type exam will consist of 4 papers, each paper will be of 60 minutes duration in online mode.
Tier 3- The descriptive type exam will be of 60 minutes duration in pen and paper test mode.
Tier 4- only has a Data entry speed test and CPT (Computer proficiency test).
There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates should also check the syllabus of the examination for better preparations.
